The problem of Mycobacterium abscessus complex: multi-drug resistance, bacteriophage susceptibility and potential healthcare transmission.

The aim of this project was to assess the extent of antibiotic drug resistance in our sample set, to test those isolates against some of the most therapeutically useful phages and to perform whole genome sequencing to determine the dominant circulating clones, potential transmission and the presence of prophages.
