资源简介:
Odontesthes bonariensis (pejerrey) is a freshwater Neotropical silverside native to Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. It is used in aquaculture, popular in sport fisheries, and a model for endocrine studies due to its temperature dependent sex-determination. It has been introduced to many freshwater environments around the world (from Europe to Asia, popular in Japan!). This sample is from a female of an inbred colony at the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Argentina, collected by Gustavo M. Somoza, Juan I. Fernandino; Yamila Cardoso; Agustin Boan, coordinated by Guillermo Orti, to generate transcriptome data for the fOdoBon6 assembly from the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Transcriptome sequencing was conducted at the Vertebrate Genomes Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco.
