资源简介:
Overweight and obesity in children are an increasing public health problem and the influence of the gut microbiota is still discussed. The change of the microbiota to a healthy gut microbiota has been studied in Mexican scholar children with overweight and obesity after of an intervention with probiotics and synbiotics. Children diagnosed with overweight, obesity or normal weight were randomly assigned into three groups: Lactobacillus casei strain Shirota, L. casei strain Shirota with inulin or L. casei strain Shirota with fructans from Agave salmiana, all of them received fermented milk products including the supplements for 6 weeks. Anthropometry was monitored. DNA was extracted from stool samples and relative abundance of bacterial taxa were monitored by high throughput 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Consumption of synbiotic with A. salmiana, stimulated abundance and diversity of the microbiota; favorable changes were archived after the intervention, specifically on genera Faecalibacterium and Catenibacterium, thus leading to a healthier gut microbiota, concurrent best anthropometric changes were observed in synbiotic groups. Conclusions: Synbiotic intervention may provide health benefits to children with overweight or obesity by increasing the richness of gut microbiota and stimulate beneficial bacteria
