Dataset Description This dataset provides a spatial representation of existing cycle infrastructure across Ireland and is intended primarily to support public information within Metropolitan Area Strategic Plan (MASP) areas. MASPs are regional planning frameworks that guide the sustainable growth and development of Ireland's five metropolitan areas: Dublin, Cork, Limerick Shannon, Galway and Waterford. They coordinate investment in transport, housing, employment and other key infrastructure. The dataset contains existing cycle infrastructure as supplied by local authorities and other relevant sources. While its primary focus is on MASP areas, coverage may also include data from other locations where it has been made available. The dataset was last updated in Q1 2025 and is intended as a high level reference. It may not reflect subsequent changes, newly completed infrastructure or recent modifications on the ground.
