Identification of sex chromosome, sex-biased gene expression and dosage compensation in the pygmy mole cricket Xya riparia (Orthoptera: Tridactyloidea)

Xya riparia, an orthopteran insect, possesses a sex chromosome type XX in females and XO in males.The objective of this study was to identify the X chromosome and sex-biased genes, and to investigate the dosage compensation mechanism in X.riparia.
