The dataset was used in the creation of the manuscript "Leaning tree crowns in Central European old-growth forests – subtle traits that carry interesting information". The study sought to answer the question of how the shifts of tree crowns relative to the bases of their trunks are reflected in the neighbourhood interactions and spatial patterns of trees in forest ecosystems.
