STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF REGULAR GSR SESSIONS ON HUMAN PHYSIOLOGICAL MARKERS OF EMOTIONAL ACTIVITY (final)
收藏资源简介:
The report consists of 71 pages, 1 book, 20 figures, 9 tables, 27 references, and 3 appendices. GSR TECHNIQUE, ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY, EMOTIONAL REACTIVITY, ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHY, ELECTROMYOGRAPHY, ELECTRODERMAL RESPONSE The study examines the physiological and psychological parameters of human emotional reactivity reflecting consistent changes over the course of regular GSR sessions. The study's objective is to evaluate human emotional reactivity by analysing such key physiological parameters as heart rate, electrodermal response level, respiratory rate, cerebral activity, and variability of cardiac rhythm over time. The study is conducted in two participant groups: people with more than 5 year's history of GSR psychotherapy, and people with no such experience. The study methodology involves registration of multimodal physiological data during a standardised procedure. The participants are presented with visual stimuli (photographs). After that, they are requested to evaluate the emotional response to the stimuli and the degree of the arousal induced. The report describes the method, the process of stimulus presentation, the characteristics of the physiological data obtained and the subjective assessments made by the subjects, methods of analysis thereof, and the results of differing emotional reactivity between the subjects with and without a history of regular GSR sessions. A separate part of the study is dedicated to the comparison of the physiological parameters and the results of psychological inventories between subjects with a history of regular GSR sessions and naive control group participants. The data obtained can subsequently be used to implement the GSR training method in wellness programs or in clinical practice for persons with enhanced anxiety or post‑ traumatic disorders.
