IEE IHU Students' assessment data (2009-2024)

The dataset consists of one table that register student scores for the department of Information and Electronic Engineering (IEE) at the International Hellenic University (IHU), in Greece.

STUDENT ASSESSMENT GRADES TABLE (file: grades.csv)
This dataset contains assessment scores in 19 core courses that have been consistently offered during the 2009 to 2024 period (15 academic years). The table registers a total of 37,053 rows (results) involving 3,640 discrete students.

Structure:
1) Student_ID: student identifier in [S00001-S04302]
2) Course_ID: course identifiers in [C101, C926]
3) Ac_Year: academic year
4) Ac_Period: academic semester (1=Fall, 2=Spring)
5) Exam_Period: examinations period (1–2 for Fall, 3–4 for Spring semester)
6) Grade: student grade in the [2.0-10.0] range

Data Preparation:
a) Only the most recent (student, course) grades are registered.
b) No cases of missing grades.

Example:
‘S00001, C532, 2016, 1, 2, 7.3’: student S00001 obtained a 7.3 grade in course C532 in exam period 2 of the Fall semester during the '2026-17' academic year.

Key Features:
a) Anonymized student and course IDs to protect critical personal and departmental data.
b) The data suffice to conduct the analysis reported in research article "Correlation as an ARM Interestingness Measure for Numeric Datasets"
