This dataset is a compilation of standard Level 3 methane column concentration products from Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite-1 (GOSAT-1) in 2021. The data originates from the GOSAT satellite, which was launched by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to monitor carbon dioxide and methane concentrations, and features global daily revisit capability. To facilitate access for domestic users, this dataset is curated and maintained by the team of the National Earth Observation Science Data Center. Individual products are packaged into compressed datasets on a monthly or annual basis for data distribution and service provision.
