Differential gene expression between chemosensory organs from different populations of two Rhodnius species.

Among the Rhodnius genus, species are either sylvatic or found in human habitat (domiciliary bugs). Two of these species, Rhodnius prolixus and Rhodnius robustus, are very close relative both morphologically and genetically. However, R. prolixus is essentially domiciliary while R. robustus is mainly found in natural habitat and only sporadically in human houses. We compared gene expression in chemosensory organs from breeding bugs belonging to the two species and from R. robustus sylvatic bugs to question domciliation process.
