Instead of turning right to Thousand Oaks, turn left across highway to road leading to Lake Sherwood. Continue to lake and around it to Hidden Valley. Go through Hidden Valley several miles almost to where road becomes back road returning to Ventura. There will be a marker for Rancho Comancias. Follow it directions.
