Draft genome sequence of Burkholderia sp. FBCC-B8049 isolated from freshwater in South Korea

Burkholderia vietnamiensis strain FBCC-B8049 was isolated from a freshwater in South Korea.This strain exhibits strong antifungal activity against plant pathogenic fungi such as Colletotrichum and Fusarium, and shows potential as a plant growth-promoting bacterium.Genome sequencing was performed to provide insights into its biocontrol mechanisms, secondary metabolite biosynthetic capacity, and ecological adaptation.The availability of this genome will facilitate future comparative genomics and functional studies of freshwater Burkholderia species.
