Raw Sequencing Reads of the Mitochondrial Genome of the Toad-Headed Agama Phrynocephalus melanurus (Zaisan Basin lineage)

This dataset contains raw Illumina sequencing reads (FASTQ format) of the unassembled mitochondrial genome of the toad-headed agama Phrynocephalus melanurus (Zaisan Basin lineage), collected from the type locality - Kyzylkum sands, Kurchum district, Eastern Kazakhstan. The data were generated to explore mitochondrial genomic variation and to infer the phylogenetic and biogeographic relationships within the Phrynocephalus guttatus species group (Reptilia: Agamidae). These data provide a valuable resource for comparative genomics, population genetics, and evolutionary studies of Central Asian reptiles
