Opposite effects of healthy eating and BMI on gut microbiota

Foodhubs are established eyeing to improve community health in various aspects. In this study, we investigated whether healthy eating (assessed using healthy eating index) would improve gut microbial communities of the members of selected low income communities, given the fact that the community members having the accessibility to healthier foods through foodhub. Similarly the impact of other dietary and bio-metric parameters obtained for each of the members were also investigated.
