Sculpted by Louis Guillaume Fulconis, this bust shows Princess Mathilde Bonaparte, the niece of Napoleon Bonaparte, a prominent aristocrat from the Second French Republic. Louis Guillaume Fulconis was a French sculptor born in 1818 and known for making official sculptures that adorn public buildings, churches and offices.
