To establish suitable primate models of HIV-1 infection, we performed in vivo passages of R5-tropic macaque-tropic HIV-1 (HIV-1mt) which can efficiently proliferate in cynomolgus macaques (CMs). Pan-genome sequences of the HIV-1mt passaged in CMs were analyzed by deep sequencing using Illumina MiSeq.
