This study investigated the abundance, diversity and functional capability of the diazotrophic microbial community in the below-ground and above-ground biomass of C4-grasses e.g. Panicum coloratum L. cv. Bambatsi (Panicum), Chloris gayana Kunth cv. Katambora (Rhodes grass) and Digitaria eriantha Steud. cv. Premier (Digitaria) grasses grown on a sandy loam soil in South Australia.
