Emergency Services in Funen, 1976-1977

The survey examines the functions of and expectations to the primary health service outside normal working hours, i.e. weekdays from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. and weekends. The survey con- tains information about persons who, during selected periods of time in the autumn of 1976 and the spring of 1977, came into contact with emergency services in Odense and other selected towns and rural districts in Funen. #The main issues examined in the survey are: #1) the contact patterns within the primary health care sector outside normal working hours, #2) the urgency of the cases, #3) the satisfaction of the users/patients, #4) determinant factors of the demand for emergency services, #5) (access to) substitution services and complementary services, #6) the emergency services and their treatment of patients, #7) violations, if any, of the family doctor principle, #8) the large-scale users of the emergency services
