zostera marina Blue Carbon project

This project compares the rhizosphere microbial community structure of Zostera marina seedlings cultivated under controlled aquarium conditions across three groups: seed-bearing, seedless, and non-vegetated controls. Rhizosphere samples were collected and analyzed using 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing. Bioinformatic analyses were conducted with QIIME 2, including OTU clustering and taxonomic classification. The study aims to elucidate how the presence or absence of seeds influences the rhizosphere microbiome of marine angiosperms.
