This data set accompanies the G-Cubed manuscript titled \"Does Zircon Shape Retain Petrogenetic Information?\". It presents individual zircon 2D shape measurements coupled with individual grain U and Th contents (where applicable) and sample whole-rock geochemistry., Zircon 2D shape measurements were obtained by measuring black and white (binary) images contructed by merging reflected and transmitted light photomicrographs of zircons, mounted in epoxy. Zircon images were obtained from the Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA). Zircon shapes were measured using AnalyZr (https://zenodo.org/record/7885059). Whole-rock geochemistry was sourced from the state-wide geochemistry data set of the GSWA (https://www.dmp.wa.gov.au/GeoChem-Extract-Geochemistry-1559.aspx). If multiple analyses exist for a chemical species measured in a given sample, the analysis with the lowest detection limit was used. Zircon U and Th content was sourced from the GSWA's 2019 Geochronology Compilation https://dmpbookshop.eruditetechnologies.com.au/product/compilation-of-geochronology-information-2019.do). Zircon grains documented as having xenocrystic components, or being non-igneous (e.g., metamorphic, discordant, or subject to secondary processes) were excluded from the..., The data set is provided in .csv format and can be opened in a standard text editor.
