Venturia inaequalis Genome sequencing and assembly. Venturia inaequalis

This BioProject entails the whole genome sequences of four single-spore (haploid) isolates of a non-obligate biotrophic fungal pathogen, Venturia inaequalis Cooke (Wint.). Three isolates are specific to apple (Malus x domestica Borkh) and represent different physiological races, based on reactions to apple differential hosts. The third isolate is specific to loquat (Eriobotrya japonica (Thunb.) Lindl.). The project is part of a collaboration between The New Zealand Institute for Plant & Food Research Ltd and La Trobe University, Australia.
