THE MOST COMMON ACCIDENTS IN LIGHT INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES AND THEIR CAUSES

Hazards surround us in everyday life. While these risks cannot be completely eliminated, it is essential to take preventive measures to reduce the number of people affected by them. This article analyzes the most common accidents occurring in light industry enterprises. Each incident is examined along with its underlying causes. The study explores whether accidents mainly result from workers’ negligence or from technical failures and malfunctioning equipment. Measures for prior risk assessment and prevention are also considered. Failure to prevent occupational accidents may lead to injuries among several workers and even fatalities; therefore, identifying and understanding their causes is crucial. Particular attention is given to injuries caused by needle breakage in the garment industry. The article also provides information on the number and types of occupational accidents recorded in 2025.
