To research the dynamic and static fracture stress of ultra-thin high-strength tempered glass cover plates in the consumer electronics industry, two sets of glass samples with a thickness of 0.4 mm were used for steel ball impact and ring on ring(ROR) experiments, and numerical simulation comparative analysis was conducted for both. The measured and simulated results showed a high degree of agreement. Two sets of dynamic and static fracture stress data for non-edge areas of glass were obtained, and the weibull distribution curves of the two have a high similarity in shape parameter β, with values of 13.95 and 13.64, respectively. The B50 fracture stress of the former was 1.65 times that of the latter. Using the least squares method, the relevant fracture parameter n value of 19.2 was fitted based on the fracture stress and stress rate of two sets of experiments, providing experimental and simulation model references for the study of dynamic fracture stress threshold of glass in practical engineering simulations.
