alfalfa Raw genome resequencing data

We generated a total of 13.26 Tb of sequencing data among 365 accessions, with an average of 36.43 Gb per accession. Based on these data and an additional 337 Medicago samples, we conducted population genomic analyses to unravel alfalfa's climatic adaptation and vulnerability to future climate change. We found that intraspecific gene flow and interspecific introgression introduced genes facilitating climatic adaptation to current and future climates. A total of 1671 candidate genes were identified to be associated with climatic adaptation. The results will supply solutions for breeding climate-resilient cultivars to cope with future climate change. (Data Submitter: Fan Zhang)
