Analysis of side effects of eradication of Helicobacter pylori by Enterococcus faecium and its effect on gut microbiota

The response rate of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) eradication treatment is about 80%, but withdrawal due to the side effect of diarrhea is also reported to be a factor. It has been suggested that changes in intestinal bacteria due to eradication treatment are involved in the cause of diarrhea, and the combined effect of probiotics is expected. The aim of this study was to clarify the effects of Enterococcus faecium on the side effects of H. pylori eradication and the diversity of gut microbiota. We collect four stool samples from each subject before and after eradication, and analyzed the microbial diversity of the samples by 16S metagenomic sequencing.
