A monodisperse, end-capped Ru(bda) oligomer with outstanding performance in heterogeneous electrochemical water oxidation

Synthesis of a monodisperse oligomer from Ru(bda) (bda = 2,2’-bipyridine-6,6’-dicarboxylate), 4,4’-bipyridine linkers and 4‑picoline end caps afforded a highly stable water oxidation catalyst. After deposition on multi-walled carbon nanotubes, an active electrode material with outstanding performance in heterogeneous electrochemical water oxidation catalysis is obtained.
