High-density genetic linkage map are particularly important for quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping, genome assembly and marker assisted selection (MAS) of plant. In this study, a high-density genetic map of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) was constructed across an F2 population from a cross between Helianthus annuus L. '86-1' and Helianthus annuus L. 'L-1-OL-1' by Specific-locus Amplified Fragment sequencing (SLAF-seq) method. The results might provide basis for fine gene/ QTL mapping and MAS in sunflower.
