PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable cutting machine that is configured to suppress a handle part from inclining with respect to a vertical direction， in an inverted state. SOLUTION: A portable cutting machine 1， which has an electric motor as a driving source， can be inverted by making a handle part 7 extend in a longitudinal direction and making three parts of a first contact part 36a at the front side of a base part 2， a second contact part 7b at the front side of the handle part 7 and a third contact part 46a contact with a placement surface E.
