Evidence for functional interactions between the placenta and brain in pregnant mice

In this study, we profiled gene expression of maternal brain, fetal brain and placenta at day 15 of pregnancy to investigate global crosstalk of genes between placenta and brain in mice . Overall design: Total RNA was sequenced from placenta, maternal brain and fetal brain from wildtype mice at day 15 pregnancy. Also, total RNA was sequenced from placenta of FOXA2 conditional (uterine) knockout mice for comparsion with gene expression of control wildtype mice at the same day (day 15) of pregnancy.
