Phenotypic characteristics and gene expression in Chinese toads.zip

We collected adult male Chinese toads <i>B. gargarizans</i> from four altitudes (50 m, 1200 m, 2300 m, 3400 m above sea level (a.s.l.) and compared skin histology, hematological parameters, antioxidant defense systems, oxidative damage, and metabolite levels in the plasma. Moreover, in order to supplement the genetic evidence, a comparative transcriptome analysis of liver was conducted to determine gene expression patterns related to elevation.
