Science-ready UVIT FUV and NUV images of 17 nearby galaxies from Shashank et al. (2026)

This repository contains the science-ready UVIT FUV and NUV cutout images of 17 nearby galaxies. This repository if for the paper "Investigating the young stellar populations and hierarchies in nearby galaxies with the UVIT. II. Presenting the properties of ∼25,000 UV-detected star-forming clumps" by Shashank et al. (2026). It is associated with the manuscript number AAS:AAS73510 (accepted for publication in ApJS) These images were used to construct a catalog of 25,000 star-forming clumps at ~1.5 arcsecond resolution. The properties of the 17 galaxies and the deatils of the corresponding UVIT images is provided in Table 1 and 2 of the paper. Each of the fits image is named as - "galaxyname_FilterName_cutout_FWHM(in arcsec)_PSF.fits"
