资源简介:
This study examines the relationship between eye colour and the use of corrective lenses for 21 members of an undergraduate ecology lab at York University.Methods:-21 individuals from a York University undergraduate ecology lab were surveyed-Willing participants were asked their eye colour and whether or not they ever wear corrective lenses-Data was recorded in an excel sheet and uploaded to FigshareHypothesis:There will be no correlation between eye colour and the use of corrective lenses.Prediction:There should be no correlation between eye colour of the participants and whether or not they use corrective lenses as iris colour does not affect lens shape in the human eye. Therefore whether or not an individual has light or dark eyes should have no bearing on whether or not their lenses are misshapen, leading to the need for corrective synthetic lenses.Metadata:-Eye colour = participants were given a choice of eye colours of blue, green, brown, black, and hazel. Data is qualitative and categorical.-Corrective lenses = defined as contact lenses or eye glasses. Data is qualitative and categorical. Yes indicates the participant wears corrective lenses at any time, no indicates they never wear corrective lenses.
