This dataset is developed for the 1:2,500,000-scale global lunar structural outline map. It documents lunar crater chains, which are chain-like structures formed by regularly spaced craters arranged in an orderly manner, typically exhibiting near-straight or arc-shaped linear morphologies. The craters comprising these chains share similar diameters and comparable degrees of preservation. The dataset also provides relevant information for each crater chain, including its length, formation age, longitude and latitude of its start and end points, and the total number of craters within the chain. In total, this dataset contains 255 records.
