We report the stratigraphic sequence of microbiome profiles recorded in an embayment sediment beneath the Larsen C Ice Shelf in Antarctica during the Holocene. Metagenomic analyses revealed members which were anoxic chemolithotrophy involving carbon fixation, nitrate and sulfate reduction, and iron oxidization and reduction.
