DAO Proposal Dataset

This dataset contains proposal-level governance data collected from three decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) platforms: Snapshot, Polkadot OpenGov, and SNS (Internet Computer). It was compiled as part of a research project on proposal categorization and governance dynamics in decentralized systems, and supports the analyses in the accompanying paper "Understanding DAO Governance: Proposal Categorization and Its Impact on Online Voter Behavior" (BCCA 2026). This release contains raw, unmodified proposal-level data exactly as retrieved from each platform's public API (titles, descriptions/bodies, voting choices and vote tallies, timestamps, proposer/author identifiers, and platform-specific status fields). No derived or computed attributes (e.g., topic categories, approval classifications) are included; the full processing and analysis pipeline used to produce the paper's results is available separately at here. A fourth platform analyzed in the paper, DAOstack, is not included here, as that data was originally collected by Arroyo et al. and is available at their existing Zenodo record (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.7669709).
