The proximal small intestine of humans and rats contain a distinct cell type not represented in mouse intestine. We used scRNA-seq to analyze the transcriptional profile of CFTR High Expressers (CHEs) from adult male Sprague Dawley rat jejunal epithelium compared to other cells that arise from the secretory lineage. Overall design: The epithelial cells of the proximal jejunum of 2 150-200 g male Sprague Dawley rats were isolated using EDTA and dispase and analyzed using scRNA-seq.
