Parenting Practices, Coercive Family Dynamics, and Self-Efficacy in Vietnamese Families with Disruptive Preschoolers

Understanding how parenting practices impact child disruptive behavior and other pertinent factors is vital for effective interventions in Vietnam; however, there is a lack of data from the country. This cross-sectional online survey investigated these relationships among 365 Vietnamese parents with preschoolers exhibiting disruptive behaviors. The survey used the Alabama Parenting Questionnaire for preschoolers (to assess parenting practices), Pediatrics Symptom Checklist-17, Strength and Difficulty Questionnaire (for disruptive behavior), Parenting Sense of Competence Scale (for self-efficacy), and Parent-Child Coercion Process Scale (for coercive interactions).
