In 2019, the Metro Group generated revenues of roughly 13.2 billion euros. The Metro Group is comprised of a number of wholesale and retail companies, among them hypermarket chain Real and the consumer electronics chains Saturn and Media Markt. On March 30, 2016 Metro Group announced splitting into a consumer electronics company (Ceconomy) and a food company (Metro AG) by July 13, 2017.
