Synergistic Effect and Mechanism of Action of Combined Curcumin and Chrysin Treatment in Human Glioblastoma Cells

Glioblastoma is the most aggressive type of brain cancer, with resistance to standard treatments leading to poor outcomes and low survival rates. Curcumin, from turmeric, and chrysin, found in honey and passion flowers, are natural compounds with broad anticancer properties, but their combined effects in glioblastoma are not well studied. This study shows that the two compounds work more effectively together, killing more glioblastoma cells, slowing their growth, and triggering cell death. These findings highlight curcumin and chrysin as a promising combined therapeutic approach for glioblastoma.
