To address the problem of subsoil acidification, a long-term field experiment was established in 2016. The objectives were to:• manage subsurface soil acidity through innovative amelioration methods that will increase productivity, profitability and sustainability• study soil processes, such as changes in soil chemical, physical and biological properties over the long term.
