Contagious Republicanism in Louisiana, 1964-2014

These data include annual parish registration data for Louisiana from 1966-2014. Reported in these data are the proportion of registered voters identifying as Republican and the proportion of African Americans who are registered to vote. Other parish-level predictors in these data include oil production, gas production, proportion of the overall population that is African-American, in-migration rates to the parish, the level of urbanization, and median household income.
