A Systematic Exploration of Late-time X-ray Emission from Optically-Loud TDEs
收藏资源简介:
We propose to conduct deep Xray observations of 12 nearby tidal disruptionevents (TDEs). This sample, selected from the first three years of the ZwickyTransient Facility operation, has good temporal coverage of earlytime Xraydata. The proposed observations will be the first experiment to systematicallystudy the Xray emission of optically bright TDEs at the time when the accretionis expected to transition from superEddington to subEddington. This programwill help us to (1) investigate the timescale of delayed Xray brightening, (2)explore the existence of disk corona and the efficiency of Comptonization, (3)measure the mass accretion rate, which directly tracks the mass fallback rateat late time. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
