资源简介:
Greenland Ice Sheet (GrIS) is contributing to the major global sea level rise. A single approach cannot provide relatively reliable estimates of GrIS mass change. Here we develop a joint inversion framework combining Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) to fully leverage their respective advantages in detecting mass changes at different spatial domains. A globally uniform H3 spherical hexagonal grid is utilized in the joint inversion framework. This study reveals a 15% lower mass loss trend for the entire Greenland than GRACE, with the northeast and south as typical regions. Moreover, the larger mass loss rates in the northwest and southeast may partially contribute to the recovery of GRACE leakage errors to some extent. Our findings highlight the potential of future joint inversions incorporating more geodetic observations, providing valuable implications for attributing climate drivers in Greenland. This provides the source data for graphs and charts in main text. The supplementary materials contain a large number of images, and we have not uploaded the code for generating the figures in the supplementary materials due to website storage limitations. Please feel free to contact us if needed. We encourage all figures to be drawn in Generic Mapping Tools.
