Layers of Abandoned Farmland in Meishan City, Sichuan

Accurate monitoring of agricultural abandonment is an important part of the scientific use of abandoned land. Research and invention of a remote sensing extraction method for abandoned land based on time series change characteristics, including: based on the preprocessed long time series remote sensing image data, the threshold interval of each vegetation index is counted, and the inter-annual summary index of each vegetation index is calculated; Establish the extraction rules for the transformation of cultivated land into abandoned land; input the index value and operation rules extracted from the long-term remote sensing data of the sample library into the random forest classifier for training, and obtain the abandoned land extracted with high precision. The results of this study show that the area of abandoned land in Meishan City, Sichuan Province in 2021 is 5017.59 hectares, showing a fluctuating downward trend from 2001 to 2021, with a decline coefficient of 0.1.
