Impulsivity, cognitive flexibility and loneliness data

Adolescent loneliness has been narrowly assessed with impulsivity and cognitive flexibility factors. A model testing the mediation of cognitive flexibility in the relationship between loneliness and impulsivity is lacking in the literature. It is hoped that addressing loneliness, which has devastating effects on adolescent mental health, with various variables will broaden the boundaries of the concept of loneliness, most of which focuses on adults. In addition, it is thought that the results to be obtained as a result of this study will guide school mental health workers and other researchers for group intervention programs to be implemented and will show promising ways to save young people from loneliness. Considering the impact of loneliness on the cognitive, emotional and psychological structures of adolescents, it is seen that this is of vital importance.
