Experimental records of mechanical responses of root–soil composite under varying biophysical conditions

This file collection contains two types of experimental measurements: (1) shear stress–displacement datas of root–soil composite and control soil under various treatment conditions; (2) synchronously measured axial force of roots. All data are provided in tabular format; see internal file descriptions for details.
