northern seas data

This is a compilation of environmental (e.g., salinity), biological (e.g., plankton abundance) and anthropogenic (e.g., fishing effort) time series from different sources. Data were compiled for the four ecosystems with the following objectives: (i) to gather information on plankton, demersal and pelagic fish components, (ii) to maximise the time series length and (iii) to ensure comparability across datasets. The time series covered the following periods: 1961-2012 for the Icelandic Waters, 1981-2014 (except 1982, 1983 & 2002) for the Barents Sea, 1975-2012 for the Baltic Sea, and 1964-2016 for the North Sea. There is one csv file for each ecosystem.
