Resequencing of Procambarus clarkii with different colors

This project aims to collect red swamp crayfish (Procambarus clarkii) exhibiting different color variations. Through whole-genome resequencing, we will analyze their genetic relationships and identify potential novel germplasm resources to improve existing wild-type populations. Additionally, we will investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying color formation, providing insights for selective breeding and genetic enhancement of this economically and ecologically important species.
