To investigate the effects of cardiomyocyte redifferentiation and its cardioprotective effects, we performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq of whole hearts that were either WT, or ERBB2 over-expressing, at 3 different timepoints both for sham injury and MI injury. Overall design: Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for hearts either during (T1/Dediff), 2 weeks after (T2/Intermediate) or 4 weeks after (T3/Rediff) transient ERBB2 overexpression in cardiomyocytes, controlled for injury status and transgene presence.
