Chromosomal DNA extracted from a pure culture of the clinical isolate Achromobacter xylosoxidans AXX-A. Achromobacter xylosoxidans is a non fermentative Gram negative bacillus. It is an emerging pathogen for cystic fibrosis patients. It is innately resistant to antibiotics including many cephalosporins, aztreonam and aminoglycosides. The mechanisms involved in this intrinsic resistance are till unexplored.
